The B.A.B.E. Award - bigmouthmedia affiliate marketing
The B.A.B.E. Award – bigmouthmedia affiliate marketing
In 2009 we launched the bigmouthmedia affiliate blogging excellence award (or the B.A.B.E. award). £1,000 was offered up to the blogger who contributed the most to the affiliate marketing community.
We are pleased to award Jason Dale with the 2009 prize.
In 2009 we did not allow affiliates to nominate their own blogs. Instead there were three ways in which a blog could be voted onto the short list of contenders.
- Encourage friends and readers to nominate the blog
- Blog about B.A.B.E.
- Twitter about B.A.B.E.
The competition had a wealth of all three options but Twitter proved just how popular it is among affiliates by producing hundreds of references to the competition. We even recorded tweets from American affiliates, who couldn’t enter the competition, but just wanted to pass the news on.
Judging the winner
The published criteria was:
- Has the affiliate blogs given something back to the affiliate community? You might share great tips, write about technology that affiliates can use or perhaps you keep us all informed of merchant news.
- Has the affiliate blog got original, thought provoking content?
- Do the blogs feature useful new marketing or design ideas?
