Welcome to bigmouthmedia Manchester - a bustling bit of mouthiness in the heart of the city.
Sandwiched between the Gay Village and Chinatown, Portland Street (where bigmouthmedia Manchester is located) used to be the site of Watt's drapery warehouse - commonly regarded as the Queen of Manchester's warehouses during the famous Cottonopolis era of the 1800s.
Portland Street is now home to a number of bars and traditional pubs, including a science fiction themed bar with its very own Daleks, and several hotels including the Britannia hotel (converted from the famous Watt's warehouse). Just around the corner from Portland Street lies the city centre, with Piccadilly Gardens, St Peter's Square and Deansgate all within walking distance.
Staying for lunch? Take a stroll to Chinatown - it's right on our doorstep. Or head further down Portland Road to Piccadilly, where you'll find an array of restaurants and bars to fill your belly and quench your thirst.
The bigmouthmedia Manchester office building itself was one of the many cotton mills built in the area during the 1800s and is thought to have had only one previous owner. An interesting but little known fact about the building is that the cobbled area underneath the offices is made of wooden, Grade II cobbles - thanks to the residents of the area in Ye Olden Days, who apparently complained about the noise that the horse drawn carriages made on the cobbles when making deliveries round the clock.

Our office is based in the city centre, within walking distance from any of the major city centre train or tram stations. The nearest train station is Oxford Road; walk out of the station and down the hill. Cross over at the lights and carry on straight up the road (Sainsbury's on your left and the Palace Theatre on your right). Once you reach the lights with McDonalds on the corner, turn right and you'll find us on the right, just after Giuliano's Italian restaurant.
The nearest tram station is St Peter's Square; from the station, head up Oxford Road away from the big Library building and turn left at the lights on to Portland Street - we're just across the road. Once in the main entrance of the building, head up the stairs on the left and we're the first office on the left.
A taxi from Piccadilly train station will take about 10 minutes - but it's quicker to walk due to all the one way road systems!
