Affiliate Marketing Account Manager (London)

Role Summary and Purpose:

To help shape the bigmouthmedia affiliate marketing strategy, managing client relationships for the affiliate marketing function and key relationships with affiliate networks and key affiliates. To contribute to the growth the affiliate marketing function and service offerings within bigmouthmedia

Key Relationships:

Affiliate & Performance Team, Data analysts, Finance, Design Consultant, Clients, Affiliates and Networks

Reporting lines:

Reports to: Head of Affiliates & Performance
Direct Reports: None

Key Responsibilities:

Team:

• To take ownership and responsibility for the running of affiliate programs for bigmouthmedia clients.
• To communicate directly with clients, networks and affiliates on an ongoing basis
• To contribute to the company wide affiliate marketing strategy.
• To coordinate the production of banner adverts effectively
• To manage the day-to-day maintenance of the affiliate marketing offering.
• Represent clients and Company on online forums, directories and blogs as well as at Affiliate Marketing Events.

Client:

• To ensure best practice affiliate marketing techniques are employed at all times across the client base by providing client consultancy on appropriate commission rates to pay for sales and leads
• To provide effective performance reporting to clients to demonstrate continued effective return on investment.
• To monitor the affiliate programs to ensure that affiliates abide by the agreed terms and conditions as specified by the client and managing any breaches of the agreement.
• Accountable for optimising client campaigns and coordinating and managing activities with networks and affiliates.
• Attend client meetings.
• Personal:

• Develop personal skills and capability through ongoing training, as provided by the Company or by self.


Commercial and Operational:

• To coordinate and integrate affiliate marketing with other marketing services provided by bigmouthmedia.
• Ensure all activities meet with relevant Health and Safety Legislation.
• Submit weekly account update report to Head of Affiliates & Performance


Learning + Development:

• Drives own personal development within the service delivery team.
• Responsible for the increasing product knowledge to contribute to team KPIs.
• Develops self through self study of product offering, media services and digital marketplace.
• Seeks guidance from others to facilitate knowledge growth.
• Seeks training from senior team members and through L&D training offering.
• Responsible for own personal develpment goals and ensure these are met throughout the year.
• Studies and sits industry exams where required.
• Responsible for keeping CPD log for th year reflecting L&D activities.
• May coach new staff members on area of expertise.
• Assist peers as source of knowledge and guidance on expertise area.
• Demonstrates commitment to ongoing learning.
• Support internal knowledge share through training, coaching or document development.
• Willing to learn new ideas and methods, readily accepting guidance, training, coaching and feedback from others.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Organisational skills and being able to demonstrate effective time management are a necessity
• Strong communication skills are a must
• Analytical and presentation skills are key
• Understanding of the marketing mix
• Must have excellent attention to detail
• Knowledge & experience of the affiliate marketing industry
• Must be able to demonstrate a number of key relationships within the sector

Desirable:

• Marketing degree would be preferable
• Be able to demonstrate a creative flair
• Basic knowledge of the affiliate marketing industry would be advantageous
