There is speculation of trouble coming for America On-Line (AOL) according to reports coming from the US business community.
With shares in the world's largest interent and media company remaining low, some analysts are speculating on a parting of the ways for AOL and Time Warner. The value of AOL is said to be almost zero, with slow suscriber growth and poor advertising revenues, while Time Warner's traditional markets of music, film, publishing and television continue to prosper.
Where this will leave AOL's search products, such as The Open Directory and AOL's searchable portals is unclear.
