Changes in Google results

Following rumours of a Google update last week and the strong suggestion that it had been a false alarm, bigmouthmedia's analysis our AlgorithmIntelligence (AI)™ program has revealed changes in Google result patterns.

Bigmouthmedia's AlgorithmIntelligence (AI)™ program is used to examine the success and failure of different search engine optimisation (SEO) and promotion strategies in algorithm based search engines such as Google and the new Yahoo. Results from over the weekend from the keystone AlgorithmIntelligence (AI)™ stations show noteworthy shifts in the relevance of different search engine optimisation strategies. The changing importance and role of links in the Google algorithm in particular was of interest.

"We can expect more frequent changes in algorithms and result patterns," said Andrew Girdwood, bigmouthmedia's Technical Campaign Manager, "It is worth noting that a change in the result patterns doesn't necessarily mean there's been a significant update on the algorithm. Google is more likely to have simply updated its index. Minor tweaks to the algorithm can also be expected. This set of results from the AlgorithmIntelligence (AI)™ program suggests that something other than a minor tweak has been rolled out but we're still shy of the major changes witnessed in the Florida and Austin updates a few months ago."
