Email marketing gets even more successful

According to a new study from DoubleClick, almost 7 in 10 people have made purchases online after receiving e-mail

And it's not just online sales that benefit; 59 percent of those polled said they had made purchases in retail stores as a result of e-mail marketing.

Timescales for purchase vary, 33% said they clicked an e-mail and made an immediate purchase, while 35 percent said they clicked through and purchased later. Another 9 percent said they clicked through and purchased later offline.

A good reason to make the subject of marketing emails attractive, memorable and clear.
