The bigmouthmedia Marketing Strategy of the Year category award was created to reward an objective-led marketing campaign that had achieved high levels of commercial success and measurable and verifiable business results for the relevant product or service. This year's award was won by the DVLA's campaign aimed at increasing the use of its online services. "The DVLA's campaign caught the public imagination and drove a massive increase in traffic to their site. It's a classic example of how a blend of clear strategy, creativity and thinking outside the box can really deliver results," said David Hardy, International Sales and Marketing Director at bigmouthmedia.
Steve Leach and David Hardy also formed part of the European Business Awards judging panel, which consists of highly regarded European academics, heads of state, industrialists, entrepreneurs and media commentators.
