The core system is proprietary, and uses customers' brand names at point of service, allowing rapid customisation of the look and feel of the platform.InfoSpace metasearch products power search results at Dogpile and MetaCrawler, as well as the Excite.com portal, among other Web sites. Virgin.net recently announced that it had selected InfoSpace to host and power their new-look portal, to be launched in the second quarter of 2002.
