Christophe Bruno, a poet based in Paris, has found a wider audience for his poems than he ever thought possible.
The enterpising wordsmith published his poems as adverts using Googles AdWords program (small placed ads alongside Googles results, related to the keyword). For over 12,000 users, Bruno's poems appeared to liven up their day, for over 24 hours before Google finally cottoned on and began to filter him (AdWords are normally self regulated).
Whats more, the AdWords scheme allowed him to calculate the value of individual words - particulary useful for someone whos words are their livlihood. Perhaps predictably, according to Bruno, sex is worth $3837, while art is only worth $410.
