Google announces an expansion to Google Payments

Just in case you've been hiding under a stone, Google has been widely rumoured to be expanding its 'Google Payments' offering and is being widely predicted to offer a serious threat to PayPal.

And it seems the rumours are being confirmed. This week, UBS analyst Benjamin Schachter identified specific innovations and openings for Google within finance, video ads, and of course, the Dell co-branding we reported a few weeks ago.

All of this was being reported in advance of Google's analyst day this Thursday.
