Google Counter

Google has been testing a search counter. The test has been restricted to a few groups of people, the usual approach for the search engine giant, but is expected to appear to the wider public if the tests go well.

The counter keeps track of the number of searches a user makes in a day. Unlike the Google toolbar the counter will not require any special downloads, just a computer that's set to accept cookies and most are. The search count is currently capped at 100 searches per day and displays the results numerically and with a colour bar.
