With
online publishers hotly tipped to be prioritising the creation of downloadable apps and mobile content in a bid to appeal to cash-rich and tech-savvy smart phone, iPad and tablet users, and
Apple's new Lion operating system roaring that the future's mobile, lightening-quick mobile search can't seem to come quickly enough.
But mobile browsing on-the-go is set to get even speedier state-side as
Google has released a
beta version of Google Instant that can be downloaded to most iPhone and Android devices.
"With Google Instant on mobile, we're pushing the limits of mobile browsers and wireless networks." The search giant has said in an
official Google blog post.
The search heavyweight has also promised that users will notice a "big improvement when you search" - with a new AJAX and HTML5 for mobile powered Instant displaying predictions and actual search results as mobile-savvy users type.
However as Google Instant's desktop launch in September
impacted non paid search and big brands as short-to-middle length terms seemed to be dropped by searcher's using Instant's suggest function, industry experts will be keen to see whether mobile searching, made instant, will be slow or quick to change the search sphere.
