Last week HotBot's return to regional platforms got going with Spain and
Overture began services there. This week it's Google's turn. The
www.google.es site is accompanied by a Spanish language version of
Google toolbar 2.
Overture, who have recently agreed to be bought by
Yahoo!, arrived in Spain noting that their network would reach 71% of the country's Internet users. Google predicts 60% coverage.
Google's Spanish advertisers will be able to target their
Ad Words ™ on Spain or any combination of the 250 countries the
search engine now services. Google's partner advertisers in Spain include Ya.com, El Mundo.es, Ozu.es as well as
Lycos Europe.
