However, while doing a little research recently, I was amused to find that an Australian student has published the rules to a drinking game involving search engines. The rules go as follows:
Select any large number (such as the year). Each person playing the game must then initiate a search using some search engine such as AltaVista. Examine the number of hits each search resulted in. The one who is the furthest away from the target must take a drink. The loser's number then becomes the new target. To ensure fairness, no word can be used more than once.

The game is one of 8 involving search engines, published on the student homepage almost six years ago, and suprisingly still live on the UNSW servers.
This page is hardly new, but the concept seems quite fun. If you can think of some other fun ways to use search engines as an excuse for intoxication, why not email us at scoop@bigmouthmedia. com
