A new website has been launched which can help active internet users get the best of both worlds when searching for information.
Searchboth.com offers users the chance to see Google and Yahoo! search results in a split-screen format.
The Register has revealed that it isn't the first site to have 'married' the two search engines, but suggests it is the first to allow people to use the function with "any amount of confidence".
Google and Yahoo! are the most popular search engine sites on the web and the new offering from the Yellow Pages Corporation and IdeaLabz is sure to attract many visitors.
"Online searchers no longer need to be tied to just one engine," says Internet Times. "According to online polls and blogs, the majority of tech savvy and non-tech savvy American search engine users are crossed between either Google or Yahoo!
"Finally, it's about time these guys come together to make search easier," it went on to say, adding that it "is truly one of the best inventions since the start of the net back in the '90s".
Site users type a query into searchboth.com's search box, with Yahoo! results then displayed on the left-hand side of the screen and Google's on the right.
IdeaLabz founder and chief executive Bobby Kalili told the Register: "All we're looking for is traffic and the notoriety of being the one to come up with the concept.
"Placing advertising on the site will cause users to go elsewhere. We're going to keep the site cost free, pop-up free, and ad free."
