Make every click count for charity

Make every click count for charity While the search engine market is always expanding, the run up to Christmas sees a quiet revolution in the form of a search engine with a difference.

Everyclick.com is a new category of search engine that allows you to search the internet just as efficiently as any other; the big difference is that every click you make benefits a charity of your choosing, at no extra cost to you. With over 15,800,000 searches completed and an impressive 40 per cent month-by-month increase in users, it seems that people are keen to take advantage of this unique service which allows them to simultaneously search and do their bit to help charity.

Following the news that the search engine is becoming one the fastest growing in the UK market, Polly Gowers, Everyclick MD commented:

"We are all more aware of our social responsibilities these days. We hope to see our new way of searching becoming a mainstream way to search the web, as it has the potential to be an incredibly powerful fundraising tool for any charity"

Everyclick is powered by Ask.com technology, and targets nearly 170,000 charities in the UK. The Everyclick fundraising service allocates 50 per cent of its gross revenue to charity every month, with each charity receiving a sum equivalent to the proportion in which its supporters use the website. Even if a user doesn't choose a particular charity, the benefit goes to all active charities on a pro rata basis.

Not simply aimed at individual users, the Everyclick.com site encourages companies and schools alike to take advantage of their unique free service to benefit a chosen charity instantly. Since its launch in June 2005, Everyclick.com has attracted attention from the likes of eBay UK, 3 Mobile and the AA. Along with a range of other participating companies and organisations, these firms have made extra provisions for increased donations to a charity if a user searches through the Everyclick site.

With less than two weeks to Christmas, the festive season provides the perfect atmosphere for users to join the thousands already taking advantage of a truly beneficial charity-focused concept. Search engine technology currently captures 91 per cent of Internet users. Taking advantage of that figure and marrying it with a completely transparent donation system seems a logical step to take at a time when society is becoming ever aware of the importance of giving to those who need it most.
