Microsoft has added 20 new advertising clients to its portfolio since its acquisition of the internet advertising company aQuantive was completed six weeks ago, the Associated Press (AP) reports.The software and internet company purchased aQuantive for $6 billion earlier this year, adding the largest interactive advertising agency in America to its operations.
Microsoft said that Entrepreneur.com, SmartBrief and Reunion.com are among the sites that have signed on to use the internet advertising tools which it gained when it bought aQuantive.
Additionally, IAC's CollegeHumor.com and two other websites now use aQuantive's Atlas AdManager - a technology that enables web publishers to target and schedule advertising campaigns.
According to the AP, the US firm also announced that it has closed an "advertising related" deal with the AP's Online Video Network.
Microsoft stated that its online advertising tools have been incorporated into the internet video service that the AP sells to almost 2,000 newspapers, television affiliates and radio stations.
Under the deal, news outlets will be able to use the Atlas advertising management to sell advertising space against their own videos and will keep all the revenue.
Founded in 1997, aQuantive is a digital marketing services and technologies provider, headquartered in Seattle.
Its operating units include the interactive agency Avenue A/Razor Fish, the digital marketing technology provider Atlas and the performance media company DRIVEpm.
