MIVA signs exclusive deal with Express Newspapers

MIVA SIGNS EXCLUSIVE SEARCH AND CONTENT DEAL WITH EXPRESS NEWSPAPERS

London, UK 3 August 2005. MIVA, Inc., (NASDAQ: MIVA) the leading independent Performance Marketing Network, today announced the signing of an exclusive search and content deal with Express Newspapers. Under the terms of the deal, MIVA now becomes the default search partner to Express Newspapers.

After a highly competitive bid process, MIVA was selected over Yahoo!
Search Marketing Solutions and Infospace to provide search functionality and enhance content and article pages by placing relevant and targeted advertisers, across the following titles:

* Daily Express (www.express.co.uk)
* Daily Star (www.dailystar.co.uk)
* OK Magazine (www.ok-magazine.co.uk)
* Happy Magazine (www.happymagazine.co.uk)
* Daily Snack: (www.dailysnack.co.uk) a new Express Newspapers
site which launched on August 1st. Daily Snack aggregates content from all Express titles to provide a 'lunch-time reading' experience for readers.

Advertisers' logos are displayed next to MIVA Pay-Per-Click Ads in both search and content implementations.

The deal with MIVA is part of Express Newspapers' strong push into the online arena. Northern and Shell, owner of Express Newspapers, currently reaches over ten million readers per week and the new online strategy is designed to target this audience. The deal also coincides with the re-launch of all Express Newspaper sites on 1st August.
