Bigmouthmedia boots are made for walking....and cycling

A 73 mile Monster Bike and Hike. 30 miles of cycling, then a 43 mile hike - all in 24 hours. It can only mean one thing - its spring, there's a whiff of competition in the air and the bigmouths are going for it!

With marathon runners in many of our offices across the globe, the Edinburgh arm of bigmouthmedia UK decided to show their sporting side (that is to say their ridiculously competitive side) and take part in Maggie's Cancer Care Centre's mammoth 24 hour bike and hike.

The event, which takes place on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th May on the Great Glen Way, starts under the shadow of the awe inspiring Ben Nevis in Fort William and makes it way to Loch Ness and Inverness, taking in some of Scotland's most outstanding scenery along the way.

Come along and you may just be lucky enough to spot a mysterious Scottish beast - bigmouths in padded shorts and fitted lycra putting their best foot (and wheel) forward for charity!

The event is expected to draw 800 participants and to raise more than £800,000 for the 12 Maggie's Centres across the country which offers practical advice and emotional support to people with cancer, their carers, family and friends at a difficult time. Each centre is located close to an NHS hospital and they have been designed to make sure people feel right at home.
