Nessie (not) spotted on Google Earth

Google's search engine helps people to find a lot of things every day on the internet but for some that's not enough. Thankfully Google Earth and Google Street View have given these people a new game to play.

The latest discovery of these enthusiasts is a supposed image of the Loch Ness monster or, as many people often call the object in the photograph, a boat. This didn't stop The Sun from reporting on the find earlier in the week or indeed some people making rather odd comments about just how close it was to the mythical beast's shape and form.

This follows pictures earlier in the year appearing in the Telegraph from Street View of a supposed Victorian ghost, that was later cleared up to be a woman in fancy dress. The same newspaper also reported on an image of ET holding a light sabre in New Jersey in March.

Last month the Daily Record alleged to have found a German bomber missing since the Second World War, but seemingly no action has been taken on this find.

Google Street View has also elicited many complaints over invasion of privacy, not least of all from the husband caught at his mistress's house by his wife.
