Pandia launches search engines' search engine

Pandia launches search engines' search engine Pandia Search Engine Detective has launched a search engine dedicated to finding all things related to search engines, the company has announced.

The meta-engine will allow users to search a broad range of websites and blogs dedicated to the industry or narrow the terms down to the top 25 search-engine sites, as selected by Pandia.

It will also offer searches on particular areas of user-interest, such as search engines' own approved blogs, search engine news for librarians and researchers or sites on pay-per-click advertising and paid search.

Other specialist related-categories include blogs on Web 2.0 development and social media networking, search industry podcasts and sites in other languages.

The company has also recently announced a partnership with BusyBits to use its website-database to improve results.

Pandia claimed that human-edited sites, which for a time appeared to be heading toward extinction, should be seen as an essential partner to robot-driven search engines.

Sites included in web directories were more likely to be trusted-providers as humans are better-equipped to exclude spam and low-quality sites said Pandia, and more likely to represent the best in their field.

Recent BusyBits signings include Whirlpool and Halifax, said the company.
