22 August 2007Search Engine Strategies conference underway

One of the largest-ever
search engine conferences is currently underway in San Jose, running until Thursday August 23rd.
Search Engine Strategies (SES) Conference & Expo started on Monday August 20th at the San Jose Convention Centre.
Delegates from the search industry and other marketers from around the world have gathered in the US in order to gather an insight into the latest developments in search engine marketing and search advertising, as well as a variety of other topics.
Google and Ask.com representatives are among those making keynote addresses during the four days. On Tuesday, Ask.com's chief executive officer Jim Lanzone discussed the issues his company faces in boosting
traffic.
Today, vice president of search products and user experience at
Google, Marissa Mayer, will talk about how
Google has made changes to add more personalised search results.
Commenting on the event, Matt McGowan, vice president of marketing for SES and Search Engine Watch, said: "In this ever-changing search industry, there's always so much more to learn as strategies and technologies evolve."
"Year after year, people return to SES because it's a dynamic show where their peers alongside industry experts help keep them informed of the latest developments in the field."
In May, the San Jose Convention Centre hosted Google Developer Day, which gave programmers a chance to meet Google's developer product teams.
