MIVA launches Monetization Center

Online advertising network MIVA have announced the US and UK launch of the MIVA Monetization Center (MIVA MC); the product will offer unique control to web publishers, as well as the chance to benefit from Pay-Per-Click revenue almost instantly.

Any online publisher, big or small, can set up a MIVA MC account; once a site is approved by the in-house quality control team, that particular publisher can have targeted Pay-Per-Click Ads within 24 hours. The product is offered on a non-exclusive basis and there is no minimum contract to worry about.

Interestingly, this new product from MIVA is being launched with regards to flexibility for content producers; that is, ads can be formatted in a variety of different ways to suit the 'host' website. Content Ads are contextually targeted pay-per-click ads that are displayed in infinitely customisable iterations, alongside the relevant site content. As the name suggests, Search Ads are displayed when specific search queries are entered.

MIVA have also chosen to include an additional product variation: MIVA InLine ads are displayed when users hover over a specific hyperlinked key phrase. MIVA InLine was originally introduced in September 2006, and was designed to crawl the web page content and add relevant hyperlinks to keywords throughout the site copy. Those who sign up for the new service can opt to specify the sections of content they wish to be crawled and targeted.

As a result of the unique level of customisation and speed of implementation offered by the MIVA MC, online publishers can control every aspect of their pay-per-click campaign. At the start of the campaign, the package allows the selection of keywords that trigger the Ads; additionally, the technology behind MIVA MC matches relevant Ads to relevant content following an in-depth contextual analysis. This contextual technology ensures that the Ads relate directly to site content and thus, offers greater flexibility. The Ad blocking feature allows blocking of competitor ads and the benefit of being able to improve return by selecting the Ads that perform the best.

A quick tour of the MIVA MC Pay-Per-Click features highlights a number of additional features that assist in effective management of the campaign. It's possible to manage multiple URLs under one account and create separate sub-campaigns for each. Extensive performance reporting is available on a daily, monthly, quarterly or annual basis and is tailored to provide accurate summaries of revenue generated. An online publisher can develop collective groups of pages, as well as track, compare and report on the Ad performance of each individual sub channel group.
