Software Development Project Manager - Edinburgh
Level: Senior Associate1. SummaryThe role is responsible for the day-to-day task management for the implementation of the media components of the group technology roadmap, and their smooth delivery through to the business and technology maintenance teams.
You will ensure that the project scope - which will be subject to flux throughout the lifespan of the project - is well defined, managed and communicated to team members and stakeholder, including other teams working concurrently on other components.

2. ResponsibilitiesThe applicant will be responsible for:Planning- Day to day management of the project and sub-tasks tasks to achieve delivery schedule
- Own section of overall plan, including obtaining and evaluating estimates, tracking, updating of plan.
- Clarify responsibilities and direction of team members
- Support team packaging, releasing and communicating deliverables as versions, releases etc.
Communications- Run team meetings and capture issues, actions, requirements and minutes. Ensure actions are followed up by the team and communicated back.
- Track and maintain project issues and risk log
- Regular status reporting to management and stakeholders
- Escalate issues to department head.
- Assisting management in preparing project presentations, compiling top project issues etc.
- Support project managers in other teams support overall project logistics and tracking
Financials- Report budget and forecasts to management
- Ensure time and expenses incurred are recorded appropriately and accurately
- Communicating professionally with colleagues across multiple offices and countries throughout LBi Group
- Supporting management team run a collection of projects as cohesive programme
- Providing 360° feedback for team members where appropriate
- Working proactively with team and management to ensure completion of projects on time and to specification
- Promoting best practice and quality standards
- Setting up and running team building activities and events
- Managing hand over process of mature projects to maintenance teams
- Supporting management of stakeholder relationships
- Ensuring skills and knowledge remain current.
3. Qualifications and Experience- Educated to degree level, preferably demonstrating analytical capability
- 2 - 5 years experience in a similar role in an Agile (preferably SCRUM) software development or engineering context.
- Experience project managing resources of 4 people or more
- Proven organisational, process and follow-through skills
- Demonstrate ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction to tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Experience constructing workplans for projects
- Ability to put administrative structure and organisation in place on new or existing projects
4. Skill RequirementsRequired- Demonstrate proficiency or qualification in a recognised project management methodology such as PRINCE2
- Ability to hold delivery responsibility for day-to-day task management
- Ability to assign and level resources appropriately across multiple projects
- Ability to prepare detailed work breakdown structure for projects
- Ability to achieve team buy-in to project approach, plan and estimates
- Ability to develop and hold stakeholder relationships
- Ability to manage expectations of team and stakeholders through to product acceptance
- Ability to identify risks and recommend appropriate countermeasures
- Ability to identify scope change and respond and manage appropriately
- Ability to identify dependencies
