Sprinks expands targeted ads

Sprinks, the Primedia search property that provides the backbone for About.com's PPC listings has unveiled a plan to add new products delivering targeted promotions via Internet news and newsletters.

The offering is essentially the next step from their sponsored listings on About.

The service will allow advertisers to place adverts in subject-relevant pages on partner sites, including Yahoo!, CNET Networks, publisher of News.com, and business and financial information provider Forbes.

The DirectSprinks product will allow advertisers to target readers of opt-in e-mail newsletters.
