Tell me why... I like Mondays?
The latest internet study has concluded that the most popular day to get online and surf is none other than Monday. Which is a far cry from Bob Geldofs statement of 1977.

So, are people too busy at the weekends? Too busy with work during the week? Or desperate to get to the pub on Friday?

The report, issued on the 31st of October from the OneStat.com research company, states that all worldwide traffic on a Saturday and Sunday drops to 13.19% and 12.52% respectively, compared to the figure of 15.34% which occurs at the start of the working week.

From then on each consecutive day's traffic drops slightly with 15.16% on a Tuesday, 14.57% on a Wednesday and Thursday and 14.43% on a Friday.

So, although the internet is a major part of people's social and working lives, this study seems to suggest that it is mainly only during the working week.

Do people still want their own time after spending a week in the office to pursue other types of recreation? Or is the internet now becoming more of a concise tool than a source of entertainment?

Although there is one more point that could also be construed from these results; more people use their employer's access rather than their own to log on and surf.
