Bigmouthmedia, the Full Search Agency, was this week awarded 'The AXA Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year Award' at the National Business Awards 2006. The agency, which handles search marketing for major global brands, was the only digital marketing company to reach the finals.
The coveted Awards were presented before more than 1200 business leaders, Parliamentarians and other VIPs at a prestigious gala ceremony, hosted by the BBC's Fiona Bruce at London's Grosvenor House Hotel.
The National Business Awards, sponsored by Orange, recognises and rewards excellence, innovation and success. Uniquely open to organisations of all sizes and from any industry sector - public or private - the programme allows Britain's best businesses to showcase their achievements and pit their success against firms and bodies of all types. The combined turnover of entrants this year was £366 billion, with a profit of £32 billion; it represented 1.8 million UK employees and 250,000 personnel overseas.
Bigmouthmedia won the award in the face of competition from an array of excellent finalists including BestThatQuote.com, Tyrells Potato Chips, Farmhouse Fare and Telinet. Speaking after collecting the trophy, bigmouthmedia founder and CEO, Steve Leach commented "What fantastic recognition of the hard work and excellence of my team over the past decade. That we were up against very stiff competition makes the win even more welcome. We're utterly over the moon."
Cynthia Gordon, Orange UK Vice President of Business Services, said: "All the winners of the National Business Awards demonstrate drive, passion and optimism for business. We are proud to be associated with such successful British business talent and congratulate all the winners on achieving this fantastic accolade."
