USA Network and Yahoo! Music have announced they are teaming up to find and promote new music and emerging artists.The country's number one cable network and online music site have revealed the collaboration, which is the first of its kind for TV.
Yahoo! Music will be tracking consumer feedback and response on new unsigned artists from its LAUNCHcast radio service, before recommending them to USA Network.
The cable giant will then sign the mutually agreed-upon artists and integrate them into the network for an incubation period.
Spencer Proffer of Meteor 17 will help oversee promotion and development of the artists and USA Network will utilise the artists' recordings for marketing and programming on the network.
Chris McCumber, USA Network's senior vice president of marketing and brand strategy, said: "We're thrilled to be involved in this innovative partnership that has the potential to create a new model for the way musical artists are discovered and developed.
"We look forward to combining the resources and creative synergy of USA, Yahoo! Music and media architect Spencer Proffer to carve a unique sonic brand for the network."

Yahoo! Music recently launched the web's largest online lyric archive, which features over 400, 000 song lyrics by 9000 different artists.
