Yahoo! Shortcut for business searches

Yahoo! may have been the subject of much speculation over the last few years, and not all of it positive, but the former search engine continues to try and improve its offerings regardless. The latest development is a new way for users to enjoy yahoo! Shortcuts when searching for businesses.

The Yahoo! local business shortcut will now appear in the results when you search for businesses - even when you omit your location from the search, according to the Yahoo! blog.



Users will also have the chance to refine the results by neighbourhood or nearby city on the results page itself. There means that when you search for business categories or chains, you'll only need one click to filter them by area.

While the changes aren't exactly earth shattering, they do remind us all that Yahoo! is keen to keep up with the competition when it comes to pleasing searchers, how successful they will be going forward is another question.
