Internet giant Yahoo! has announced that chief marketing officer (CMO) Cammie Dunaway will be leaving the company.In a statement, the search engine provider said that Ms Dunaway is set to exit at the end of this month.
Praising the executive, the firm said: "Since joining Yahoo! in 2003, Cammie has built an award-winning direct-marketing team, improved the company's customer insights and found creative ways to improve our brand.
"Cammie has strengthened the marketing function and built a strong bench of creative talent. We wish her all the best in her future endeavours and thank her for her leadership, dedication and all that she has contributed to Yahoo!."
Ms Dunaway joined the firm as CMO in June 2003, with more than 20 years of marketing experience behind her.
During her time with Yahoo!, she oversaw key initiatives focusing on the consumer, particularly global branding and marketing initiatives.
Under her direction, Yahoo! was named 2006 Marketer of the Year by the Direct Marketing Association, thanks to its "industry vision and marketing innovation".
Prior to her position with the company, Ms Duanway spent 13 years at the snack food firm Frito-Lay.
Yahoo! has seen considerable management rearrangements in recent months, with former chief executive Terry Semel stepping down in June and being replaced by co-founder Jerry Yang.
Additionally, sales executives Gregory Coleman and Wenda Harris Millard have recently announced their departure.
